"Mighty" Mike McGee's Electronic Place of Himself.

Typings of a well-traveled, talky, funny, hobo-poet.

(Mobile) Layover: Denver Airport [6]

I am sitting in the airport in Denver on my layover to Boston. It is one of the few airports in the United States I feel I would be most comfortable if I were stranded in over night. I’ve been in a few, none of them as big and as accomodating as DEN.

I also love the city of Denver. The poet’s who come from here, who found their voices here. There’s some goodness based here. I could live in Denver, but it would be more out of necessity than out of desire; I got someone pregnant, or HAD to be on the Denver Poetry Slam Team. Neither of those are going to happen, so I guess I’ll just keep visiting Denver as often as possible. This city is such a comfortable hub to stop and hang in.

My ex Maranda lives here, and I always see her when I come through. She’s grown so much. We broke up in 2002 and she’s my favorite reason of all to come here. Wish I coulthe airport and go say hey to her right now.

Love ya, Maranda!
